Giuseppe Verdi is the Italy Founding Father from a Musical point of view. His operas has not been just a stimuli for the
Risorgimento but his own name become the synonim of the willingness of unification of Italy. On the Italian wall of the mid-XIX Century was written W Verdi and the meaning was W Vittorio Emanuele King of Italy (
W Vittorio Emanuele Re D'Italia).
Among the most important operas of Verdi such as L'Aida, La Traviata, and Il Rigoletto, the Nabucco with its famous choir Va Pensiero was the true anthem of Italian re-unification mood.
